PDO is a biodegradable synthetic polymer from which yarns are made. This material is becoming more popular due to its safety. The insertion procedure is quite simple, the results are stable, the side effects are minor, and the complication rate is very low.
PDO biodegradation occurs through a hydrolysis process over 4 to 6 months, while the duration of the aesthetic result continues for 18 to 24 months.
